VARIATION
1. Delete
paragraph 5.3.3 of subclause 5.3 of clause 5, Rates of Pay, of the award
published 19 October 2001 (328 I.G. 841), and insert in lieu thereof the
following:
5.3.3 Whenever the
State Wage Case decision provides that award wages be increased by the
application of a "plateau" formula, the "plateau" level for
the purposes of this award shall be determined by reference to the base rates.
The increase shall then be calculated in accordance
with subparagraphs 5.3.1 and 5.3.2 hereof.
The rates of pay in this award include the adjustments
payable under the State Wage Case May 2003, as set out in the said Table 1,
Rates of Pay in Part B - Monetary Rates. This adjustment may be offset against:
(A) any equivalent
overaward payments, and/or
(B) award wage
increases since 29 May 1991 other than safety net adjustments and minimum rates
adjustments.
