VARIATION
1. Delete
subclause (i) of clause 10, Holidays and Sundays of the award published 22
February 2002 (331 I.G. 498), and insert in lieu thereof the following:
(i) For the
purpose of this award the days generally observed as the following shall be
holidays:
New Year’s Day, Anniversary Day, Good Friday, Easter
Saturday, Easter Monday, Anzac Day, Eight Hour Day, the third Monday in
February, Sovereign’s Birthday, Christmas Day, Boxing Day, and any other day or
days proclaimed or gazetted as public holidays for the state.
2. Delete
subclause (vii) of clause 10, and insert in lieu thereof the following:
(vii) An employer
and an employee, or an employer and the majority of employees in an
establishment, may agree to observe an alternative day as a holiday, in lieu of
the third Monday in February.
3. This
variation shall take effect on and from 23 March 2006.
