VARIATION
1. Delete paragraphs
5.1.1(c) and 5.1.1(e) of subclause 5.1.1 of clause 5.1, Classifications and
Rates of Pay, of the award, published 21 September 2001 (327 I.G. 1058), and
insert in lieu thereof the following:

(e) State Wage
Case Adjustments
The rates of pay in this Award include the adjustments
payable under the State Wage Case 2006.
These adjustments may be offset against:
(a) any equivalent
overaward payments; and/or
(b) award wage
increases since 29 May 1991 other than safety net, State Wage Case and minimum
rates adjustments.
2. Delete
subclause 5.3.1 of clause 5.3, Apprentice Rates of Pay, and insert in lieu
thereof the following:

4. Delete the

6. Delete
subclause 5.7.1 Motor Allowance of clause 5.7 Allowances
and Special Rates, and insert in lieu thereof the following:

Allowance
Where an employee reaches agreement with their employer to
use their own motor vehicle on the employer's business, such employee shall be
paid an allowance of .62 cents per kilometre travelled up until 1 April 2007 and
then .66 cents per kilometre travelled thereafter.
7. Delete the
first paragraph appearing in subclause 5.7.2 Application of Technical Computing
Allowance, of clause 5.7 Allowances and Special Rates, and insert in lieu
thereof the following:
An allowance of $30.50 a week shall be paid to any
employee who is required to use technical computing equipment (as defined) to
perform work of a complex nature. Work of a complex nature includes:

subclause 5.7.3 Checking Work Allowances of clause 5.7 and insert in lieu
thereof the following:

Allowance
A
draughtsmen employed for the greater part of his/her time in checking the work
of other draughting employees shall be paid $20.05 per week in addition to the rate
to which he/she otherwise is entitled under this award.
9. Delete
subclause 6.5.11 Meal Allowance, of clause 6.5 Overtime, and insert in lieu
thereof the following:
6.5.11 Meal Allowance
An
employee required to work beyond two hours after the usual finishing time of
work shall be paid a meal allowance of $10.05 for the first and each subsequent
meal, or be provided with an adequate meal where the employer has his/her own
cooking and dining facilities.
10. This variation
shall take effect from the beginning of the first pay period to commence on or
after 11 October 2006.
