VARIATION
1. Delete
subclause 2.3 of clause 2, Area, Incidence and Duration, of Part 1 -
Application and Operation of Award, of the award made 17 April 2000, and
renumber following subclauses 2.4 and 2.5 as subclause 2.3 and 2.4,
respectively.
2. Delete
paragraph 45.4.1 of 45.4, Employment Conditions, of clause 45, Traineeships, of
Part 7 - Training and Related Matters, and insert in lieu thereof the
following:
45.4.1 A trainee
shall be engaged as a full-time employee for a maximum of one year's duration
(or as a part-time employee for a period no greater than the equivalent of one
year full-time employment), provided that a trainee will be subject to a
satisfactory probation period of up to one month, which may be reduced at the
discretion of the employer. A new
employee engaged as a trainee, who does not satisfactorily complete the
probationary period, may be terminated.
An existing employee who is a trainee, who does not satisfactorily
complete the probationary period, shall revert to the position that they held
immediately prior to the commencement of the traineeship.
3. This
variation shall take effect on and from 13 December 2000.
