Application by The Australian Workers' Union, New South Wales, industrial organisation of employees.

VARIATION

 

1.          Insert the following Table to subclause (e), of clause 6, Rates of Pay, of the award published 1 October 1999 (310 I.G. 1138) as varied, as follows:

 

Wage Rate Schedules

 

The following rates of pay are applicable to all employees form the first full pay period to commence on or after 1 February 2001.

2.          Insert after the said table the following new paragraph:

 

The rates of pay in this award include the adjustments payable under the State Wage Case 2000. These adjustments may be offset against:

 

(a)        any equivalent overaward payments, and/or

 

(b)       award wage increases since 29 May 1991 other than safety net, State Wage Case, and minimum rates adjustments.

 

3.          Delete clause 18, First-aid Allowance, and insert in lieu thereof the following:

 

18.  First-Aid Allowance

 

A full-time employee who holds an appropriate First-aid Certificate and who is appointed by the Company to perform first-aid duties, in addition to ordinary work, will be paid an allowance of $20.60 per fortnight in addition to the wage rate as required by clause 6, Rates of Pay.

 

4.          This variation shall take effect from the beginning of the first pay period to commence on or after 1 February 2001, and shall remain in force thereafter for the remainder of the nominal term of the award it varies.
