VARIATION
1. Delete paragraph 5(b)(ii) of clause 5,
Work Levels, of the award published 19 January 2024 (396 I.G. 438), and insert
in lieu the following:
(ii) Positions
within Paramedic - Level 1 may include (but are not limited to):
(1) Paramedic means
an employee who is a registered paramedic and has successfully completed the
necessary and relevant training and work experience as determined by the
employer to become a Paramedic and who is appointed to perform ambulance
services;
(2) VCCC Triage Clinician (Paramedic) - means an employee who
is a registered paramedic and has successfully completed the necessary and
relevant training and work experience as determined by the employer to become a
Paramedic and who is appointed to perform functions within the scope of their
training and experience in the Virtual Clinical Care Centre or other virtual
care setting.
2. Insert after 5(c)(ii)(1)(B) of clause 5,
Work Levels, the following new subparagraph:
(2) Triage Clinician (Paramedic Specialist) -
means an employee who is a registered paramedic and who has successfully
completed the requirements to be a Paramedic and who has completed the
necessary and relevant training and work experience as determined by the
employer to become a Paramedic Specialist and who is appointed to perform
functions within the scope of their training and experience in the Virtual
Clinical Care Centre or other virtual care settings.
3. Insert after 5(i)(ii)(1) of clause 5,
Work Levels, the following new subparagraph:
(2) VCCC Clinical Team Leader - means an
employee who has successfully completed the requirements to be a Paramedic and
who has successfully completed the requirements for and is appointed to a VCCC
Clinical Team Leader position in the Virtual Clinical Care Centre.”
4. This variation will take effect on and
from 7 October 2025.
