PROFESSIONAL ENGINEERS AND PROFESSIONAL SCIENTISTS (PRIVATE INDUSTRY) (STATE) AWARD

Application by The Association of Professional Engineers, Scientists and Managers, Australia (NSW Branch), industrial organisation of employees.

VARIATION

 

1.          Delete paragraph 4.2.3 of clause 4, Salaries and Classifications, of the award published 18 August 2000 (317 I.G. 1030) as varied, and insert in lieu thereof the following:

 

4.2.3     The rates of pay in this award include the adjustments payable under the State Wage Case 2002.  These adjustments may be offset against:

 

(a)        any equivalent overaward payments;  and/or

 

(b)       award wage increases since 29 May 1991 other than safety net, State Wage Case, and minimum rates adjustments.

 

2.          Delete subparagraph 10.5.1.1 of paragraph 10.5.1 of subclause 10.5 of clause 10, Redundancy, and insert in lieu thereof the following:

 

10.5.1.1            If an employee is under 45 years of age, the employer shall pay in accordance with the following scale:

 

Years of Service	Under 45 Years of Age Entitlement
Less than 1 year	Nil
1 year and less than 2 years	4 weeks
2 years and less than 3 years	7 weeks
3 years and less than 4 years	10 weeks
4 years and less than 5 years	12 weeks
5 years and less than 6 years	14 weeks
6 years and over	16 weeks

 

3.          Delete Part B, Monetary Rates, and insert in lieu thereof the following:

4.          This variation shall take effect from the beginning of the first full pay period to commence on of after 3 June 2003.
