VARIATION
1. Renumber
paragraph 20.1.3 of subclause 20.1 of clause 20, Piecework of the award
published 22 December 2000 (321 I.G. 211) to read as:
20.1.4 If
any system of payment by results is adopted, The Following conditions shall be
observed:
2. Renumber
subparagraphs 20.1.3(a) and 20.1.3(b) of paragraph 20.1.3 of subclause 20.1 of
clause 20, Piecework to read as:
20.1.4(a) The
workers in each shop shall appoint a committee from their number to confer with
the employer or the employer's representative in fixing rates to be paid. Once fixed, rates shall not be reduced
without consultation with the shop committee
20.1.4(b) Any
worker engaged according to a system of payment by results shall be given particulars
thereof in writing by the employer before commencing work according to such
system.
3. Insert after
paragraph 20.1.2 the following new paragraph:
20.1.3 Long
Service Leave for workers under this clause shall be dealt with in accordance
with the Long Service Leave Act 1955.
4. This
variation shall take effect from the beginning of the first pay period to
commence on or after 18 June 2004.
