REVIEWED AWARD
1. Delete
subclause (i) of clause 20, First-aid and Safety of the award published 24
August 2001 (327 I.G. 183) and insert in lieu thereof the following:
(i) Adequate
first-aid facilities shall be provided by the employer (see Occupational
Health and Safety Act 2000 and Occupational Health and Safety Regulation
2001).
2. Delete clause
22, Amenities, and insert in lieu thereof the following:

The employer shall provide adequate dressing room, washing
and toilet accommodation in accordance with the Occupational Health and
Safety Act 2000 and Occupational Health and Safety Regulation 2001.

28, Area Incidence and Duration, and insert in lieu thereof the following:
28. Area Incidence
and Duration
This award is made following a review under section 19 of
the Industrial Relations Act 1996 and replaces the Vegetable Oils,
&c., Employees (State) Award published 15 May 1998 (304 IG. 1002) and all
variations thereof and the Vegetable Oils, &c., Employees Superannuation
(State) Award published 31 May 1991 (262 IG. 1085).
This award shall apply to all persons employed in the
extraction and refining of vegetable oils in the State, excluding the County of
Yancowinna, excepting:
Employees engaged in the manufacture of margarine and
butterine, and employees in the hardening and deoderising of vegetable oils or
the production of edible fats therefrom;
Engine drivers and firemen, greasers and trimmers,
cleaners and pumpers engaged in and about the driving of engines, electrical
crane, winch and motor drivers;
Carters, grooms, stablepersons, yardspersons, and
drivers of motor and other power propelled vehicles;
Watchpersons, caretakers and cleaners;
Clerks; and
Employees within the jurisdiction of the Watchmen and
Gatekeepers (Waterfront) Industrial Committee.
4. The changes
made to the award pursuant to the Award Review under Section 19(6) of the Industrial
Relations Act, 1996and Principles for Review of Awards made by the
Industrial Relations Commission of NSW on 18 December 1998 (85 IR 38) take
effect on 28 June 2004.
The award remains in force until varied or rescinded
the period for which it was made having already expired.
