VARIATION
1. Delete clause
5, Rates of Pay - Permanent Employees, of the award published 6 October 2000 (319
I.G. 173), and insert in lieu thereof the following:

(ii) The rates of
pay in this award include the adjustments payable under the State Wage Case 2004.
These adjustments may be offset against:-
(a) any equivalent
over award payments, and/or
(b) award wage
increases since 29 May 1991 other than safety net, State Wage Case, and minimum
rates adjustments.
2. Delete
subclauses (i) and (ii) of clause 10, Night and Afternoon Work, and insert in
lieu thereof the following:
(i) Employees
required to work at night shall, in addition to their ordinary rates of pay be
paid $95.00 per week or $19.05 per shift.
For the purposes of this clause "Night Work" shall mean any
shift more than one-half of which is performed between the hours of 6.00 pm and
6.00 am daily.
(ii) Employees
required to commence work prior to 8.00 am shall be paid $48.00 per week or
$9.65 per shift and employees required to cease work after 6.00 pm shall be
paid $82.00 per week or $16.35 per shift in addition to their ordinary rates of
pay. This subclause shall not apply to employees entitled to payments pursuant
to subclause (i) of this clause.
3. Delete
subclause (i) of clause 15, Meal Allowance, and insert in lieu thereof the
following:
(i) An employee
required to work one hour overtime or longer shall be paid $11.20 meal money in
addition to overtime pay; provided that where overtime worked continues for
more than 4 hours, an employee shall receive a further meal allowance of
$11.20.
4. This
variation shall take effect from the first full pay period to commence on or
after 2 August 2004.
