VARIATION
1. Delete
subclause 12.1 of clause 12, Public Holidays of the award published 13 July 2001
(326 I.G. 78) and insert in lieu thereof the following:
12.1 Public holidays
are New Year’s Day, Good Friday, Easter Saturday, Easter Monday, Christmas Day,
Boxing Day and the days on which Australia Day, Anzac Day, Queen’s Birthday and
Labour Day are observed as public holidays.
The third Monday in February of each year shall be a holiday for the
purpose of this clause.
2. Insert after
paragraph 12.1.2 of clause 12, the following new paragraph:
12.1.3 An employer and
an employee, or an employer and the majority of employees in an establishment,
may agree to observe an alternative day as a holiday in lieu of the third
Monday in February.
3. This
variation shall take effect on and from the first full pay period on or after
23 March 2006.
